Due
to the enormous turn out for our U18 program the Upper York Executive Board has
decide to ice a 4th U18 team. This 4th team will be
rostered as a U18 “C” team which will be a full contact (Body Checking)
team. The team will participate in the York Simcoe “A” loop against other
centers A teams including the Upper York U18 A team. Depending on how
this team does in the regular season will determine on where the U18 C team
will play come playoff time. If the U18 C team can stay competitive in
the “A” loop then the team will remain there. If the team is not
successful and struggling to be competitive then Executive Board will request
that the league relegate the team to the “C” Division for OMHA playdowns.
Tryouts
for the U18 C team will be conducted AFTER the U18 A tryouts have been
completed and prior to the U18 BB team tryouts. Players wanting to
participate on the U18 C team need to be released from the U18 AA and A team
first before attending tryouts.
