While we are still in the thick of the current season, we are starting to think ahead to our next season as the newly officially aligned Upper York Admirals.
We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for coaching positions for AA and A coaches for the 2025/26 season.
Whether you are a seasoned coach with years of experience or an aspiring mentor looking to make a difference, we encourage all individuals passionate about hockey to apply. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to developing players’ skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive and competitive atmosphere.
Paid Coaching Positions
In addition to volunteer roles, we are considering offering paid non-parent AA coaching positions for the 2025-26 season. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in making coaching a professional pursuit, as well as for individuals who already have a background in coaching and wish to be compensated for their time and expertise.
Requirements and Expectations
Applicants for coaching positions should meet the following criteria:

Strong knowledge of hockey fundamentals and strategies

Previous coaching experience

Ability to communicate effectively and motivate players

A passion for teaching and growing the sport of hockey

OHF Vulnerable Sector check and applicable coaching certifications
