U15A - Hockey Feeds Hunger
U15A
Admirals came together as a team and spent the morning on December 20th
collecting donations at 2 different York Region grocery stores and together
raised funds and purchased 584 lbs. of food which was used to fill the Georgina
Food Pantry fridge at the Ice Palace in time for Christmas. The team planned
and worked together to fundraise, purchase, sort and load up the community
fridge. Shout out to Sutton No Frills, and Vince's in Sharon for supporting our
cause.
This
team also got into the spirit of giving and pulled together to raise money for
gifts and stocking stuffers for a Georgina family in need. Each player
performed chores in the community to earn money to purchase small toys and
stocking stuffers which were donated to a local family to make sure their kids
had a nice Christmas.
